Purpose – To introduce your subject - Create this section on Copilot by inputting the example above and then writing – I need you to create a similar paragraph for my school webpage, in-line with the National Curriculum, but focused on the subject… (enter your subject).

Purpose – To share our vision of the subject – Go onto our school webpage – Copy the ‘Vision’ section from your subject and paste it here. We want to keep this the same as teachers have spent a long time developing these

Curriculum Design

Check in your Curriculum booklet for your subject that there is a page for this. Adam will take this directly from Visme, so we just need to check it’s there (see History one here for reference).

3. What does your subject look like at Heyes Lane?

Go onto our school webpage – Copy the ‘Curriculum Content’ section from your subject and add it into Copilot. Then add some information about how your subject looks at Heyes Lane, e.g.:

·       Do teachers use immersive hooks, trips out, real-life animals, visitors to engage pupils in their learning? Do you have themed days annually, e.g. Science Week, or assemblies to celebrate your subject/pioneers in your subject?

·       Is learning centred around big questions?

·       Is your subject taught weekly?

·       Does it have substantive/overarching concepts that are revisited to build on learning and allow children to make connections?

·       How do children showcase their learning? E.g. African showcase, NASA Space Conference, Seesaw, sharing with other year groups, videos etc.

Also, go onto the folder in Sharepoint and click on the new website folder (for the foundation subjects and copy you subject overview into this section – this shows all of the topics covered across KS1 and KS2).

4.How do we assess children and evaluate our curriculum?

This information can be found in your curriculum booklets. Copy and paste this example paragraph into Copilot and then ask it to change the content, e.g. My subject also has end of unit quizzes, but we assess and evaluate these areas (refer to the subject curriculum booklet for bullet points).

5. How You Can Help at Home

Here, insert any useful websites/ideas of things that adults can do at home to support children with their learning in your subject (if there are any).

6. Clubs, Trips and Enrichment

You might need to seek information here – either speak to the lead teachers or as subject lead you may know this information already. Input any enrichment opportunities that children have in your subject in each year group, including whole-school events. These could be trips, visitors coming in to give talks, showcases, assemblies, themed-weeks, workshops, after school clubs.

7. Meet the Subject Leader

Create a short, warm paragraph introducing yourself, how long you have been leading the subject, why it’s important to you/any expertise you have.
